Doctors ----> Instant Noodles??

As I was reading through a blog written by a doctor in JB, I came across this post which I find very very interesting... Apparently this doctor (Dr Pagalavan) reblogged it from another doctor (Dr Simon)... Below is what Dr Simon wrote, and somehow I just felt like posting it in my blog as well... =)

**********************************************************************************

let me draw an analogy how is a doctor being produced in this morden day..
first, you must know the concept of instant noodle..
you can choose vegetarian flavour, or spicy ramen flavour.. similarly you can choose to study medicine in local or abroad..
open up the cap, throw all the seasoning into the cup.. similarly, you attend the medical school and the lecturers throw all the textbooks on you.. (it is very sad to say that when the students approach the lecturers for any doubt in their study, the lecturers most of the time and most likely will answer like this “go back and read your books, come back and tell me the answers tomorrow”.. so basically the doctors nowadays are produced by medical textbooks and not by medical schools.. and this also means that most of the medical lecturers nowadays are makan gaji buta (earning easy money).. surprisingly, some of these lecturers even do not know their subjects well and do not know how to perform a clinical examination in a proper way..!!!!!
then, pour in some boiled water.. similarlly, the students are “floating” in the medical schools.. study just because of assignments, tests, examinations.. but do not know how to link the basic sciences with the clinical problems, do not appreciate the progress of a disease, everything also main hentam and tembak(shooting the answers all around)..
and finally, you get your instant noodle, and instant stethoscope.. :p
so how can we expect these instant noodle doctors to perform their tasks competently and to function as a house officer confidently..?????

As far as I've heard, some ppl do tell me stuffs like above... but until I experience it myself next year when I start my MBBS course in Monash University, I can't really agree or disagree with the stuffs written above... Anyway, I vow that I will not be an instant noodles doctor in future... xD

Work or don't work?

I'm getting damn bored of my holiday life... so of course the idea of getting a job comes to my mind... however, the problem is, it's very very hard to find a good job in Sibu!! Well, Sibu as some of u may not know, is a low living cost town (no, it's not a city, yet!)... commonly, it means the salary is super low as well... >.<

So what I did was I went to find my secondary school's principal to apply as a relief teacher to replace teachers needing to take maternity leaves... my principal told me that the earliest is August for the next teacher to do that, meaning I have to wait! After considering, I guess I wanted to find a temporary job for July while waiting for it... So, I went around Sibu to find jobs, and to my astonishment, the pay is just simply 'incredible'... =.= Sugarbun (RM2.50/hour), McD (RM2.30/hour), Pizza Hut (RM2.90/hour) and some other jobs maximum salary RM500-550 only... sigh...

What's the point of getting a job with a low pay? Just for the sake of spending my time doing something useful? Oh well, my conclusion, I'll just wait for the teacher job, and maybe rot in the house for at least another month... haha...

P.S. For those of you who r wondering how I did in my MUFY results which came out on weds, oh well, all I can say is it's ok although I'm quite disappointed in what I got for Biology... but overall, I'm contented... =)

Oh deary deary me... more than a week since I last blogged dy... I am truly sorry for all my readers who kept checking out my blog and left disappointed cuz I didn't add new stuffs to my blog at all... But to be honest, since I came back to my hometown, I have lost all motivation and ideas to blog dy... why is this happening? I can only say that my life is quite meaningless at the moment, maybe that's why I feel quite empty everytime I think about blogging nowadays...

My daily routine can be explained in a series of events... haha... wake up late, lunch, computer, dinner, computer again, sleep late, and finally wake up late again... the cycle is never ending... of cuz sometimes there are some extra spices, such as go out with frens, movies and church... but basically, that's abt it for my daily life nowadays... how boring life can be, right? >.<

Anyway, something astonishing n somehow exciting is coming soon... my MUFY 2nd sem results is coming out soon! It's gonna be out this weds evening at 5pm according to predictions... oh boy! oh boy! I reli have no idea how I did this time... do pray for me! Thank you very much! Haha... xD

A Walk To Remember

Oh my gosh, this is seriously a great and heart-warming movie! Okay, I know it's a 2002 movie, quite old already and the movie title doesn't seem too attractive, but oh boy, this is a must watch movie! First of all, full credits to my friend, Michelle Ting for telling me about this movie... Thank you very much! I have to admit, a cold-hearted guy like me, even almost cried during the movie, so I'm sure many others will cry while watching it...

Anyway, let's talk abt this movie... This movie is adapted according to a novel written by Nicholas Sparks... however the plot of the movie does not follow the novel fully... nonetheless, the movie by itself is a great version already... In this movie, it's about two persons from very different backgrounds getting into a deep love relationship... in their journey of love, they have to go through many obstacles as well as a heartbreaking twist of fate... Yeah, what I just described might sound very simple, corny and predictable, but trust me, this is a movie u have to watch! Through it, it's about trust, romance, faith and of cuz, most importantly, love! The movie touched my heart to the deepest core, and it's not all abt boy-girl relationship only, there are many others oso... The way the guy sacrificed for the girl, oh boy, how I wish I can be like that too... =)

Here's a great soundtrack in the movie... I find myself playing this track over and over again countless times after downloading it straight after watching the movie... Hope u guys would take some time off and watch the movie... if u dunno how to get it, ask from me anytime... ^^

Last outing before HOME! =)

In case ur wondering where the Melaka/Muar trip has gone, it has been totally cancelled off my schedule, due to some inconvenience and my lack of mood to go travelling before going home... haha... Anyway, I did get to go out with my Sibu frens on Saturday to hang out at Sunway Pyramid... Lawrence, Cindy, Ming Han, Roland and Yen Yi & Annie (part of the time)... It wasn't much but I think we did have a good time... =D

But of cuz the most important part of our outing is movies! So, guess what we watched?? X-Men: First Class! Yeah!! To get the movie tickets for this movie, we lined up for almost half an hour, and still in the end get good seats, thank you very much! xD

This movie is just incredible... Everything was great, the acting, the effects, the storyline... Have to say I reli enjoyed the whole movie, so again, I recommend to u that this movie is a must watch, unless u dun like anything about X-Men (that's just sad...) and u've never watched any X-Men movies before... This movie provide an in-depth examination of every character involved, there aren't that much action scenes, but when there are action scenes, they're fantastic too... and dun worry abt the manner of the movie, sometimes it can be reli reli funny, honestly... haha... Normally, Marvel's movies do have post credit scenes one... but lucky u if u read my blog before going to watch the movie, there is none of that! So, finish movie, get up and leave! =)

So after today, tomolo I shall start packing my luggage n stuffs, finally... monday gonna overnight at KLIA, and tuesday is the most awaited day! xD

Kuantan and Kemaman trip xD

Finally I can blog abt the trip to Kuantan and Kemaman after MUFY finals... Generally this trip is like none other that I have ever experienced in my life... everything was super tiring, challenging as well as EXTREME! There were also many first times in my life too... First time I ate sata (malay food made from fish, coconut paste and chilli), first time climbing rocks just by the sea, first time see a real waterfall right in front of me, first time bath in a waterfall, first time touch a real turtle, first time see turtles laying eggs... So nice! Anyway, I'm not gonna blah too much here, will let the pictures do the talking... =D

ate keropok lekor from Kemaman, Terengganu on Friday night... felt like fries... haha...

Went to beach the next day afternoon (Saturday), Telok Cempedak with Lik Sing and Pek Wui... quite a beautiful view as well... =)

Our 'accomodation' at Kuantan, Jason Yau's house... big and comfy house, although I didn't sleep that much that night, cuz of MU's Champions League Final defeat... =(

He served us nasi dagang for dinner... quite a unique dish found at East Semenanjung only...

Went to Telok Cempedak again the next morning (Sunday), this time with everyone...

To go further through the beach to Telok Cempedak 2 and 3, we had to go through many obstacles... such as a broken bridge above...

Went through a very extreme and challenging rock climbing right by the sea... seriously this is dangerous, but we managed to get through it unscathed, almost! Haha...

That evening, we made our way to Sungai Lembing, Pahang... Stayed at a motel (more like a homestay)...

After settling down, we each rented a bike and went strolling around Sungai Lembing... too bad an accident happened to Jian Hao and he got hurt... hope he get well soon... =)

At night, we had barbeque too... so nice!

The next morning (Monday), we went to the waterfall at Sungai Lembing... woke up early in the morning and sat at the back of a jeep through the forest... had to go on foot for quite a distance, crossing rivers and struggling through forest areas before we get to the destination... notice the rainbow in the center of the picture above? Such a beautiful view... xD

The waterfall I mentioned above... had a bath in there... chilling water which tasted sweet (I tasted it! @.@)

Made our way to Kemaman that evening... Lik Sing, our host brought us to eat otak-otak and sata at a malay stall... the sata was very nice, and otak-otak much different from the Muar ones... I still prefer Muar one though... =D

Lik Sing's mum cooked dinner for us... typical Chinese meal... satisfying! ^^

Went to Monica Bay (Pantai Telok Mak Nik) that night to see turtles lay eggs...

We get to hold a baby turtle too! Later everyone line up in a row and let go of the baby turtles together and see them crawl into the sea... great experience indeed!

The final day morning (Tuesday), we went to have Hai Bing coffee, which is very famous in Kemaman... It was quite nice oso...

Finally, this trip had ended... Everyone was just too tired and sleepy in the end... I hope in future I can bring my future gf to Kuantan, after seeing how romantic it can be for couples there... haha... Anyway, my post-finals vacation is not done yet, I hope... LOL!
